The Castellón province in Spain is preparing for the opening of what will be the first gambling venue in the province located east of the Iberian Peninsula. The casino will be open in April and although it will target the regional public during its first stage, its authorities expect that the casino will increase the tourism influx to the zone, specially cruises, due to the proximity of the region with the Mediterranean Sea.
The casino will have a total surface of 4.000 square meters and half of it will be destined to gambling. It will have room for 1,700 people and it is expected to receive 15,000 clients per month. It has been revealed that the casino will have 8 American roulette tables, two French roulettes and three blackjack tables, among others.
In order to promote the future opening, the Orenes group organized an event for the media and some special guests at the Gran Casino Castellón Croupier’s School where they showed their gaming offer and the croupiers of the future casino showed their abilities to the guests.
The casino, which is expected to open its doors by the European spring, has already generated 255 jobs. The croupiers that will be managing the different gambling tables are mostly young college students who have been trained for 5 months to become professionals of the game.
